01-17.2015 - Family Tree inspiration from the Gen 5 Old Vine wine label.
I got inspired by the label note on the Gen 5 Old Vine Zinfandel, which states:
For five generations our family has lived and worked our land in Lodi, California, always striving to leave the land in a better state for the next generation. The tree rings represent our family's long history sustaining our Lodi land.

I thought it was great way of thinking about family trees. If you can confirm 5 generations of your family tree, perhaps 3 or 4 prior to you, then you have captured 5 generations. If each generation can add their own records you start to have a great multi-generational view. This perspective also provides some boundary to the family tree effort, which otherwise can often feel boundless.
05.27.2014 - I created this Family Tree by importing an earlier tree from Geni.com to Ancestry.com on 05.27.2014 to allow iPad access on Ancestry.com under shared account.
